Raw Banana Poriyal - Twisted - Raw Banana Masala Curry

Raw Banana Poriyal (South Indian Side)

Chop Raw Bananas after peeling skin
Temper with Mustard seeds, Urad Dal, Dry Red Chillis
Add the Raw Banana
Add Turmeric
Salt to Taste
Add 1/2 cup water
Close with lid and let it cook
Once done, can be served as a side dish for Rice and Sambhar/Rasam


Twist - You have left over, and have to think of a different curry for Chappati/Roti


Dinner Menu

Raw Banana Masala Curry

Chop Onions - 1
Chop Tomato - 1
Chop Green Chilli - 2
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 Table Spoon
Pav Bhaji Masala or Curry Masala - 1 Table spoon

Take Pan, add Oil, add Onions, saute till golden brown, add tomatoes, saute until cooked
add green chillis, and ginger garlic paste and saute until the raw smell goes away

Add the left over raw banana Poriyal, add water 1/2 cup, Masala powder of your choice, salt to taste and turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon mash all of this with a Potato Masher , close lid and let it simmer for 5-10 mins

Add Cut Coriander/Cilantro, 1 tablespoon of Lemon juice and serve with hottt Chappatis/Rotis


I hope you enjoy this twist, next time I will present the outcome with Pictures. My family had no idea about this TWIST until I mentioned it to them.
